Among the lineages of Nyoshul Monastery, the most important one is the Longchen Nyingthig Heart-Essence Lineage, and it is the Terma (hidden treasure) founded by Jigme Lingpa.

¡¡The mahasiddha Nyoshul Lungtok is the disciple of Dza Patrul Rinpoche, the Dzogchen mahasidda of Longchen Nyingthig Heart-Essence. The disciple of Nyoshul Lungtok is Khenpo Ngawang Palzang (also known as Khenpo Ngakga, Osal Rinchen Nyingpo, Padma Las Brel Tsal), known as the greatest scholar, guru, lineage holder of Longchen Nyingthig Heart-Essence, and is the true emanation of Vimalamitra.

¡¡Khenpo Ngawang Palzang received all the mouth-to-ear pith instructions of Dzogchen Heart-Essence, and he has a lot of great disciples, such as 2nd Nyoshul Lungtok rinpoche, Kathok Chatsa Rinpoche, Tulku Arik, Khenpo Munsel, Chatral Sangye Dorje Rinpoche, etc. And his work "A Guide Of The Words Of My Perfect Teacher", ¡°Note of Threkchod Practice¡±, ¡±Note of Thodgal Practice¡± are the most direct and detailed writings of the Dzogchen Ear Transfer teaching. He also wrote other profound teachings, such as "Commentary of Yeshe Lama¡±, therefore trained numberless mahasiddhas, great masters. This lineage is a great unparalleled Longchen Nyingthig Heart-Essence lineage.
